A message from the new president

Dear Friends of Wildlife,

I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust, an organization I have long admired for its commitment to providing true sanctuary for wildlife. The expertise and dedication of the Trust’s staff are tremendous assets to that life-saving mission. In particular, I express special thanks and recognition to Marla Wilson for her 16 months of exemplary service as acting executive director. Her willingness to take on this role after the tragic loss of Bob Koons enabled the Trust to operate seamlessly. Together, the staff undertook a new phase of strategic planning, including our 2020 Foresight goal for habitat acquisition.

Like you, I too am passionate about wildlife and have a deep personal commitment to preventing habitat loss. Building upon the Trust’s first 24 years of accomplishments, I look forward to applying my creative vision and wide-ranging expertise to forge the vital growth that will help the Trust protect as much habitat as possible… places where wild animals will forever thrive.

Would you take a moment to send me a brief note about your hopes and concerns for wildlife? Your personal involvement in our shared mission is essential to accomplishing all we can for wildlife!

Sincerely,

Ben Callison
President
Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust
