$5,000 Reward Offered for Information on Suspected Douglas County Poachers

WINSTON — Oregon State Police are asking for the public’s help to identify who may be responsible for killing and then leaving three deer in Douglas County.

Two deer were fatally shot and left in the 700 and 1500 block of East Willis Creek Road near Winston sometime between July 18 and July 24, police said. An adult doe was also shot sometime between July 18 and July 20 and left near Bland Mountain Lookout, east of Days Creek, police said.

The Humane Society of the United States and the Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust are offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspected poachers, police said.
