Meet Ben Callison, the Trust's new President

Dear Friends of the Trust,

I am very pleased to announce that Ben Callison has been selected as the new President of the Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust. Ben comes to us with a wealth of experience and an impressive track record of success. Ben’s passion for wildlife and deep personal commitment to preventing habitat loss led him to the Trust.

Ben’s leadership of the Trust comes after a successful five year career working within The Humane Society of the United States’s Animal Care Centers, Animal Rescue Team and Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association. He first served as Director of the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch, and most recently as Director of Integration and Engagement for HSUS’s Animal Rescue, Care and Sanctuary department. Ben also serves as a board member for both the Texas Humane Legislation Network and the Project Chimps Sanctuary. Prior to joining HSUS he practiced architecture for 13 years, and co-founded an Architectural design firm in Dallas. Ben had much success as Director of Black Beauty and we expect him to repeat that success at the helm of the Trust.

This year the Trust is celebrating its 23rd year of wildlife conservation and education. Under Ben’s leadership, vision and expertise, combined with the passion, dedication and experience of the existing staff, we look forward to further advancing and expanding the Trust’s core mission and programs over the next decades. We hope to have your continued support as we enter our next chapter towards a better future for wildlife.

With best wishes,

Andrew N. Rowan, Ph.D.
Chair of the Board of Directors
Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust
